“Uffizi on a plate”: the art of great chefs animates the masterpieces in the Uffizi

The masterpieces in the monumental Florentine museum become dishes to be savoured thanks to the initiative “Uffizi da mangiare” (literally “Uffizi for eating”), a new series of short videos in which a noted cook or food personality presents a recipe or prepares a dish live, drawing inspiration from the ingredients depicted in one of the works chosen from the Gallery’s collections.
The series aims to illustrate and deepen the intimate bond which – especially through the intriguing still-life genre – has always linked the visual and culinary arts. From the 17^th of January, live every Sunday on the museum’s Facebook page. (www.uffizi.it)
